A Codex Miracle

FS01

Just in the nick of time, a working model of my new book is ready to make the trip to the Codex Book Fair on Saturday. Now to business packing my bags and making lists of all the things I have ignored for the last two weeks. Here is a glimpse of the first (semi) finished copy of Figure Study, produced in an edition of 35.

FS03

A lidded box on the left contains 114 sheets of drafting film printed with figures representing population data for every region on earth. A booklet placed in the center panel contains an index to help interpret the data and a short essay by David Allen about our process and sources.

FS05

Under the book, a grid framed by walnut corners waits to help the viewer layer and interpret the figures.

Of 35 copies, 25 are available for purchase. Pricing information to come.

Very impressive and wonderful! So glad you were able to complete it in time, remarkable in itself! Enjoy the Codex Book Fair! Warmly, Nancy Akerly
